2025/26 ran from 6 April 2025 to 5 April 2026 — the prior tax year, kept here for checking last year's payslips and 2025/26 Self Assessment. For the current year, see the 2026/27 bands.
The 2025/26 bands were: the £12,570 personal allowance, the 20%, 40% and 45% rates for England, Wales and Northern Ireland, all six Scottish bands (with the Starter band running to £15,397 and Basic to £27,491, before the 2026/27 extension), and the £100,000 personal allowance taper.
