Reporting a correction
We take accuracy seriously — a wrong tax figure helps no one. If a result doesn’t look right, email us with your salary, tax code, region and what you expected, and we’ll check it against our methodologyand HMRC’s figures. If we’ve got something wrong, we’ll fix it and say so.
What we can and can’t help with
We can help with how the calculator works, why it produced a figure, and anything about the site. We can’t give personal tax advice or act as your accountant — for advice specific to your circumstances, speak to a qualified accountant or check HMRC’s own estimator. For anything about your actual tax code or payslip, your personal tax account at gov.uk is the definitive source.
